Columbus North High School Student Publications

In middle school, I was on the yearbook staff as the design editor. I knew my future had to involve creating art and interacting with people. This led me to add Beginning Journalism to my high school schedule. Due to the advisers, staff members and enviroment, I was hooked. I even went to Journalism Camp at Ball State University for three summers. During my junior year, I was the Inforgraphics Editor then moved onto InDepth Editor as a senior.

Up until my last year on staff, I thought I wanted to be an architect. Then I started to notice that I spent an excessive amount of time in the publications room than on my architecture assignments. Although the workload made me cry and I’d go days without sleeping, I was happy. So, I decided this was my following and started to become intense with my journalism work. I participated in The Log (yearbook), The Triangle (newsmagazine) and cnhsmedia.com (web). Moreover, I was a finalist for Indiana’s 2016 Journalist of the Year.

I owe CNHS Media for the opportunity of a lifetime — finding my passion.
